What did you do before BS&P?
I worked in the radio industry for 20 years as Finance & Business Development Director. We capitalised on the industry's growth and built a top 10 radio group in just 8 years, consisting of 21 stations.
How was that experience relevant to BS&P?
Managing progress. Advertising is fast moving, both creatively and in regulatory issues, and in direct advertising our clients’ needs evolve quickly. To provide the best return we must stay ahead.
Which aspect of your job do you most enjoy and why?
Working with enterprising, charismatic (even likeable!) and receptive colleagues who never wince or complain (at least to my face) at my latest quest to seek more efficiency from the business.
What gives you the most pride?
Our financial performance, our reputation amongst our clients and the work ethic of our team.
Why Godalming?
Less overheads than offices in Guildford.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
An elbow!
